motion and energy

ACHIEVEMENT OBJECTIVE

• Explore, describe, and represent patterns and trends for everyday examples of physical phenomena, such as movement, forces, light, sound, waves, and heat. For example, identify and describe the effect of forces (contact and non-contact) on the motion of objects; identify and describe everyday examples of sources of energy, forms of energy, and energy transformations.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Student should be able to :
• Describe the difference between speed and acceleration
• Explain what momentum is and its relation to collisions
• Describe force of gravity and difference between mass and weight
• Describe what causes objects to float and sink• Identify forms of energy and their sources
• Describe difference between insulators and conductors
